SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA’S LARGEST MEMORIAL DAY EVENT – AND IT’S FREE!

LA Fleet Week® is an annual, multi-day celebration of our nation’s Sea Services held on the LA Waterfront at the Port of Los Angeles over the extended Memorial Day Weekend. Events include:

    • Active duty ship tours
    • Military displays and equipment demonstrations
    • Live entertainment
    • Neighborhood Activations
    • Downtown San Pedro and Wilmington Welcome Parties
    • Aircraft flyovers
    • Galley Wars culinary cook-off competition between Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force and Army teams
    • Competitions including Dodgeball and Military Has Talent
    • Military band performances across L.A

Lots of fun for the entire family. And best of all, the weekend event is FREE to the general public!

LA Fleet Week is not only an incredible event, it also facilitates numerous symposiums, exercises, and outreaches focused on community resiliency, disaster preparedness, and support for area residents.

Navy Ship Tour Security Requirements (There are many other things to do as well)

  • Visitors must be at least 5 years of age
  • No strollers permitted on the ships
  • No large bags of any type are allowed on vessels, including large camera bags, backpacks, purses, diaper bags, etc.
  • Visitors must be able to walk unassisted without the aid of supporting devices; otherwise an equivalency experience will be offered if desired
  • Ability to navigate tight spaces and up and down steep ladders is required
  • No public restrooms aboard (available on dock)
  • Please wear closed-toed shoes — for your safety flip flops and high heels are strongly discouraged
  • No pets allowed
  • No banners, flags, or political propaganda permitted

ALL guests 18+ must show a government-issued ID before boarding an active US Navy ship.

📇 Requirements for U.S. Citizens

  • Acceptable IDs include a valid driver’s license, passport, or other government-issued photo ID
  • Paper copies or photos of ID cards or passports are not accepted

🌐 Requirements for Non-U.S. Citizens

  • Must present a valid passport to board US Navy ships
  • Will be fingerprinted and photographed during security screening
  • Paper copies or photos of ID cards or passports are not accepted
