SCNC Elections: Last day to vote-by-mail!

The 2025 NC Elections will be conducted using an all Vote-By-Mail election model. The 2025 NC Election Handbook provides important information about the election process, including the candidate filing and Vote-By-Mail operations.

The 2025 NC Regional Election Schedule lists each region's election date, and the 2025 NC Election Timeline provides critical election deadlines. I have highlighted a few important election dates below for SCNC.

• Candidate Filing Period: February 7, 2025 to March 24, 2025

• Vote-By-Mail Period: April 11, 2025 to June 1, 2025

• Election Day: June 10, 2025

The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and we invite you to join us for complimentary breakfast and networking starting at 7:30.

This year's in-person Budget Day will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall with a Plenary Session consisting of keynote speakers and a panel discussion on the theme "City Services: Budgetary Transparency and Accountability" followed by Regional Breakout Sessions.

We present a powerhouse lineup including Mayor Karen Bass, Controller Kenneth Mejia, City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Budget and Finance Chair Katy Yaroslavsky, City Adminstrative Officer Matt Szabo, LAist Civics and Democracy Reporter Frank Stoltze, Chief Deputy Controller Rick Cole, Assistant City Administrative Officer Ben Ceja, and former General Manager Service Employees International Union Local 347 Julie Butcher.

You will have an opportunity to share the concerns and issues of your neighborhood in the Regional Breakout Sessions so the Budget Advocates may bring them to the attention of City leadership.
